Each narrative volume presents a character with dilemmas that vary in complexity and scope, and, at every crossroads, allows the reader to decide what happens next. An ending page discusses consequences and encourages readers to revisit the story while making different choices. In You Can Make Changes, Yusra sees a rundown park in her neighborhood and must decide if spreading the word to her community will help. Some volumes clearly have a correct path, while others are more nuanced, and the characters are widely representative of different skin tones and cultural backgrounds.
