Each colorful page features a short sentence or two, illustrated with an attractive photo. Across the board, the books create a positive, inclusive tone. From the racial diversity apparent in the photos to the family configurations described in the text, readers will find many other differences apparent, without a sense that one is better than another. Feelings portrays a variety of different emotions and notes that they come and go. "You might feel" different ways throughout the day, and that's okay. An upbeat, appealing series, well suited to reading aloud in the classroom.
